Looking for a simple and scrumptious snack? 🥜 These Peanut Butter Bites are not just delicious, but they’re like tiny energy bombs that’ll keep you going. Perfect for those moments when you need a quick pick-me-up, and way better than reaching for that candy bar. Once you make these, you might find it hard to stop! 😅

IngredientsMakes 10-12 bites

  • 1 cup unsalted peanut butter
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ¼ cup chia seeds or ground flaxseed
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate, you can use chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Directions:

1

In a medium bowl, mix peanut butter and maple syrup until combined.

step two for peanut butter recipe Yuka

2

Add the rolled oats, chia seeds or ground flaxseed, chocolate and salt then mix until everything is evenly incorporated. (see notes)

step three for peanut butter recipe Yuka

3

Using clean hands, roll the mixture into small 1 inch balls. Place them on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes:

  • If the mixture feels too sticky, then you can add a bit more oats, chia seeds or flaxseed until you get the consistency you like.
  • Feel free to omit the maple syrup to reduce sugar content.
  • Store any extra bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Bon appétit and enjoy! 🥰☀️

Thanks for the great recipe! These were quick to make & even quicker to eat. I reduced the “optional” maple syrup to 1 tablespoon (I like sweet & he doesn’t) = a win/win for both us. I will definitely be making them again 🙂

I replaced peanut butter (Since peanuts re usually moldy) with almond butter and cashew butter mix , and the sweetnes from the cashew butter replaced the maple syrup (I had to add 1 tbsp only to give it some more moist) they came out super delicious . Thank you !!!

Apparently you are unaware that recent research has shown that peanuts are detrimental to the digestive system. Substitute a treeead nut instead, such as pistachios or walnuts.instead.

I’m not a believer. My father in law lived with us for the last 5 years of his life. He was 86 when he died and he ate only peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch and dinner since he was in the Army in WWIi.,till he died. Rarely ate anything else. No medications and no digestive issues ever recorded.

Is it possible to have the nutritional content for this recipe? I’m following a very rigid low-carbohydrate diet and am concerned that the maple sugar and chocolate will had too much of an impact on the number of carbs allowed. I love the idea of this recipe. Thank you.

    This is a great recipe.
On a whim I bought Kodiak protein ball mix. Scanned 51, no risky additives. Very similar except it takes 1/4 cup honey if made following the instructions.
This I’m sure is cheaper and healthier because you can make it however you want really.

I’ve made quite similar ones (I call them healthy nut balls!) and they ARE delicious! Something I do is salt the balls…it just adds a little extra ooh-aah! You can substitute maple syrup with honey, also, Honey!

Oatmeal is great, but leaving it raw in the peanut butter balls seems unappealing. Yuku must love them otherwise she wouldn’t post them! Have any of your followers actually made them?

Wonder if you could “roast” the oatmeal a little?

      1. Christina

I make my own granola. I too don’t like the sound of raw oatmeal, so I might try these made with my granola instead of the raw oats, maple syrup, seeds (my granola has seeds) and salt.

    2. Shelby

I just made them. They taste great! I did not add the maple syrup.
