Looking for a simple and scrumptious snack? 🥜 These Peanut Butter Bites are not just delicious, but they’re like tiny energy bombs that’ll keep you going. Perfect for those moments when you need a quick pick-me-up, and way better than reaching for that candy bar. Once you make these, you might find it hard to stop! 😅

IngredientsMakes 10-12 bites

  • 1 cup unsalted peanut butter
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ¼ cup chia seeds or ground flaxseed
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate, you can use chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Directions:

1

In a medium bowl, mix peanut butter and maple syrup until combined.

step two for peanut butter recipe Yuka

2

Add the rolled oats, chia seeds or ground flaxseed, chocolate and salt then mix until everything is evenly incorporated. (see notes)

step three for peanut butter recipe Yuka

3

Using clean hands, roll the mixture into small 1 inch balls. Place them on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes:

  • If the mixture feels too sticky, then you can add a bit more oats, chia seeds or flaxseed until you get the consistency you like.
  • Feel free to omit the maple syrup to reduce sugar content.
  • Store any extra bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Bon appétit and enjoy! 🥰☀️

Cool homemade protein bites! Bought a bag of protein bites from Costco, but these ingredients are pretty common and could easily be made at home.
Nutritional values I got from ChatGPT. These are calculated averages, as everyone has different ingredient variations.

Per Bite (1 serving of 12):
    Calories: ~150 kcal

    Protein: ~4.5 g
    Fat: ~11 g
    Saturated Fat: ~2 g
    Carbohydrates: ~9 g
    Sugars: ~3–4 g
    Fiber: ~2–3 g

The total nutritional content for the entire batch, including the optional maple syrup, is approximately 1,680 calories, with 49 grams of protein, 124 grams of carbohydrates, and 113 grams of fat.
1 cup unsalted peanut butter contributes about 950 calories, 35g protein, 30g carbs, and 80g fat.
½ cup rolled oats adds roughly 150 calories, 5g protein, 27g carbs, and 3g fat.
¼ cup chia seeds (or ground flaxseed) provides about 200 calories, 6g protein, 16g carbs, and 13g fat.
¼ cup dark chocolate offers around 280 calories, 3g protein, 25g carbs, and 17g fat.
2 tablespoons maple syrup (optional) add approximately 100 calories and 26g of carbohydrates.
A pinch of salt does not contribute any significant nutritional value.
    Cheers!

Julie from Yuka is giving folks the best possible ways to snack. Who needs nutritional information when you can clearly see that each ingredient is fantastic. If you need nutritional information for the peanut butter that You are specifically using, look at your peanut butter jar. Problem solved!

Thank you, Roseann. I agree that nutritional info would be very helpful on these recipes. I think the problem might come in that the nutritional info would be different depending on the brand used (like peanut butter, for example) and Yucca doesn’t endorse any brand. One possible solution is, I use Fitness Pal to track my food intake. The upgraded version allows you to enter the recipe using the ingredients’ brands that you select. It then gives you nutritional info. There may be a free app out there that will do the same thing for you. Just a suggestion.

I’m not a believer. My father in law lived with us for the last 5 years of his life. He was 86 when he died and he ate only peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch and dinner since he was in the Army in WWIi.,till he died. Rarely ate anything else. No medications and no digestive issues ever recorded.

If you pay attention to everything out there regarding food, unfortunately you’ll be living on water. Just stick to the YUKA app to find healthier alternatives then you bought in the past and pray a lot. That’s my advice because over the years so many foods have been taunted as BAD and then amazingly they’re GOOD for you 🤪

Is it possible to have the nutritional content for this recipe? I’m following a very rigid low-carbohydrate diet and am concerned that the maple sugar and chocolate will had too much of an impact on the number of carbs allowed. I love the idea of this recipe. Thank you.

    This is a great recipe.
On a whim I bought Kodiak protein ball mix. Scanned 51, no risky additives. Very similar except it takes 1/4 cup honey if made following the instructions.
This I’m sure is cheaper and healthier because you can make it however you want really.

I’ve made quite similar ones (I call them healthy nut balls!) and they ARE delicious! Something I do is salt the balls…it just adds a little extra ooh-aah! You can substitute maple syrup with honey, also, Honey!

Oatmeal is great, but leaving it raw in the peanut butter balls seems unappealing. Yuku must love them otherwise she wouldn’t post them! Have any of your followers actually made them?

Wonder if you could “roast” the oatmeal a little?

      Reply
      1. Christina

I make my own granola. I too don’t like the sound of raw oatmeal, so I might try these made with my granola instead of the raw oats, maple syrup, seeds (my granola has seeds) and salt.

    2. Shelby

I just made them. They taste great! I did not add the maple syrup.
